Bubbles at the beach...

My daughter Emily took this picture and on the days when I need a little "pick me up" this picture helps.

It's a feel good thing really. It reminds me of the day we had here, the memories we made, the walks we had. It was a great day and the memories feel good.

On the days when you need a "pick me up"...what feel good memories help you? On the days when your thoughts are hurting...how do you soothe them? how do you change or refocus them? What do you do for you?

Reality of fear....

Often what we fear is not the true reality of our fears.

What are your thoughts on that comment? Would you agree? When it comes to your fears...what is the true reality? Have you ever explored your fears to find out?

During my journey I came face to face with my fears and when I learned to understand them...I learned how to move through them. And even though I'm still scared...I'm doing it anyway.

When I avoided going out...I wasn't afraid of falling, I was afraid of embarrassing myself and having people laugh at me.

I wasn't afraid of love, I was afraid of someone not accepting me (just like I didn't                                                                                                              accept me).

We are always exactly where we are supposed to be. Do what you can do. Do it to the best of your ability. Never doubt that what you are doing is right for you at the time you are doing it. Do not judge yourself. Always look for the blessing in every experience, even if the blessing falls on someone else.

Common Meds Linked to Dementia

4/25/2016

The way we use medications today is very different from how they have been used through generations past...and sometimes? we can be a "quick fix" society. There are more medications available now than there ever has been and there will only be more to come. With all the drugs available...I have some concerns.

Yes big pharma can give you an idea of how a medication may work for you but can they also tell you the long-term effects of the medication? Probably not. They don't have that research. They do have research done through their clinical trials to get the drug on the market...but! where is the long-term effect information? Well it's coming out now and some common medications have been linked to dementia.

Today I'd like to share some information regarding the link between common medications and dementia. Please keep in mind that this information is shared for your personal entertainment and is NOT meant to take the place of direct medical care. DO NOT make changes to your medication based on what you read here. If you have questions...please talk to you doctor or other trained professional.

This combination medication is used to treat arthritis in people at high risk of getting stomach/intestinal ulcers and complications from the ulcers (such as bleeding).

OTHER USES: This section contains uses of this drug that are not listed in the approved professional labeling for the drug but that may be prescribed by your health care professional. Use this drug for a condition that is listed in this section only if it has been so prescribed by your health care professional.

This medication may also be used to treat gout attacks or ankylosing spondylitis in people at a high risk of stomach bleeding or an ulcer.

On this road called life, you have to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad, love what you got, and remember what you had. Always forgive, but never forget, learn from your mistakes, but never forget. People change. Things go wrong. But just remember, the ride goes on.

Hope, disappointment, anger, self-destruction, recovery. Hope, disappointment, anger, self-destruction, recovery. Hope...you get the idea right? it's a cycle...and one we can get caught in.

Now you may not call it "my insanity cycle" and truth be told I don't call mine that either...but...if I get lost in this cycle...I can feel like I'm losing my mind. Does it feel that way for you too? Like you're out of control, floundering in life, always going in a circle? What does this feel like for you?

What goes in the middle...will depend on what is happening in your life and there are many things that can cause us to be in this cycle. What causes you to be here? Do you know?

Today we believe God wants you to know that as you immerse yourself in the beauty of the world, the beauty of the world immerses itself in you.

The more you see beauty, the more beautiful you become. Let yourself be one of God's most glorious creations.
