I hope you take some time today to do what you need for you...something that soothes you...something that makes you smile and feel good about being you...I hope you will.
When we take the time to do this for ourselves as we need it...we can learn to live above our pain.
It's a part of who we are now and we can't change that...but...we can learn how to live with it and how to live beyond it.
Give it some thought...what calms you? what makes you feel alive and empowered? even if it causes a little more pain...what makes you get up and move? Give the questions some thought...write down a list even...and when you're done...go do something that makes you feel good...something that allows you to live beyond you pain...go do it for you.
And if what you do makes you hurt even more...that's okay! You've lived beyond your pain. Just take the time when you come home to soothe yourself and your body too and relax.
We can't stop living because of our pain but we can learn how to care for ourselves when we need it. It's a healthy healing goal and it's something you can do for you. My only question now is...will you do it?
