You cannot run away from your problems. You can distance yourself in order to look back and assess your situation, but you can't get away from a persistent problem. Until you are willing to sit in the middle of the problem and pick it apart, piece by piece, until you get to the core, you will not be able to resolve it. ~~Iyanla Vanzant~~ a picture of the moon I got while taking a night time walk Are you sitting up straight? Are your shoulders back? Chest out? Could you carry a stack of books on your head? Could you? How good is your posture?
Sit up straight...was something I heard growing up...did you hear it too? How straight do you sit today? My back causes me some posture problems some days and sitting up straight is often painful...but... posture is important! How good is your posture? Could it use some improving? Here are some tips to help you if you need. Now these are shared for your personal entertainment only and I would highly encourage you to talk to your doctor too! Sometimes a bad posture could be signs of other things you need to pay attention to. So if your posture needs some help...talk to your doctor about these 9 tips. Before we get to the medication I need to remind you...
For this installment, I have chosen Omega 3 Fish Oil Uses Omega-3 fatty acids are thought to help reduce the risk of heart disease and also to promote healthy skin. They are also used along with diet and exercise to help lower levels of a certain blood fat (triglyceride) and to raise levels of "good" cholesterol (HDL). This product may also be used to help treat high blood pressure or rheumatoid arthritis. Some supplement products have been found to contain possibly harmful impurities/additives. Check with your pharmacist for more details about the brand you use. The US Food and Drug Administration has not reviewed this product for safety or effectiveness. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more details. **Please read this information carefully** If you have any questions about what is provided here....talk with your doctor or pharmacist please. Hold no grudges and practice forgiveness. This is the key to having peace in all your relationships. ~~Wayne Dyer~~ Picture taken at a friends farm this weekend. Great things are done by a series of small things brought together. ~~Kevin V~~ Picture taken in Grand Bend, ON The emotional aspect of chronic pain is all too real for some of us...and for some? It can be what breaks us. To experience pain throughout our lives is normal...but it's also normal that the pain goes away..ie a tooth ache, a sprained arm, a minor burn etc. Then there is another kind of pain that doesn't go away. It's the kind you wake up with, go to bed with, and try to survive your days with...it's a chronic kind of pain and there is no end in sight.
That's the kind of pain most of us are living with here...the chronic kind...and when pain becomes chronic? well...our emotions get involved. And sometimes? it's a roller-coaster ride we can't control let alone enjoy. Have you ever experienced the emotional ride to your pain? How do you handle that? or do you? What do you do to help yourself through it? How do you support your emotions? Do you understand them? Do you take them out on others? Deep and personal questions I know...but please do give them some thought. And one other thing I want to mention...we are not the only ones living with our pain or the emotions that come with it. Our friends and our families are too...and they're living with it through us...through our actions, our words, the things we do and don't do...they live it too. The following article is geared towards low back pain, but it's true for any kind. Our pain can bring emotions we're not used to or may even know how to manage. And that can cause us to struggle even more and to also adapt negative and hurtful self-harming coping skills. BUT...we can relearn, we can teach ourselves a new way...a more healing and loving way to be with and for ourselves. The following article is shared for your personal entertainment only but please do think about it. If you have questions about what you read here...talk to your doctor. And if you're struggling with your emotions? There is help! but you have to love yourself enough to ask for it. YOU are worth it! (just in case you forgot) so I hope you'll ask for it. We can't change what we don't acknowledge and sometimes getting to know our emotions can be scary too...but...we can! YES! we can! take good care of you and your emotions too Tammy Have you ever wished you were different? Maybe like your "old self"? Have you ever beaten yourself up over your past mistakes? I have too at times. But you know what? It doesn't matter who we used to be. NOPE! It doesn't matter. Not anymore. What matters now? well...what matters now is who we are today! right now! not yesterday...but today! YOU are NOT your mishaps, mistakes, or your past...you are none of these things! And You are not your wounds either! Nope! not those either! Do you believe that? What do you believe? What matters to you? What do you remember? The choice is mine, it's yours, it's ours...we "can decided differently today and at every moment" what we choose to believe and think of ourselves and our lives to be. Every day we are each offered a "new opportunity with each breath to think, choose, decide and act differently in a way that supports" ourselves to be all the different ways we're capable of being...and all the ways we are now. We are not less! Please....your words and your thoughts have power! use them to help, guide, nurture and move yourself forward instead of beating yourself up for things that cannot be changed. Learn the life lessons needed and move on. You have a life waiting for you to live that's happening now. take good care of you please picture found on-line - original source unknown |
