If our needs are depleted we are of no use to anyone let alone ourselves. It is important for us not to shut down our needs but learn to address them in the most positive way we can. We need to nurture and comfort ourselves no differently than we would our child or loved one who needed us.
Take good care of you and always be gentle. While you learn to care for the new physical needs of your body, don't forget your emotional needs. Chronic pain is not only a physical pain but an emotional one too.
