Me Days are not days to be spent beating yourself up for the negative in your life. ME Days are days spent taking care of your emotional, mental and physical needs in the most soothing way possible doing what you need for you.
Here are a few things I do during my ME Days....
go back to bed
take a long hot shower/bubble bath
go for a walk in nature
meet with a good friend to talk
remind myself of all the good that is my life and all the things I've done
have my favourite meal
listen to my favourite music for a little music therapy
paint my emotions on canvas for art therapy
What do you do to help yourself through the rough patches in life? Do you take the time for you? It's not selfish to focus on your needs. It's actually one of the most healing things you can do for you. If you haven't planned a ME Day lately, when will you make the time for one? It doesn't have to be a whole day...it can be an hour or two if that's all you can spare...but please do set aside time in your day when you can focus only on YOU.
