Troubling Thoughts

How healthy would you say your thoughts are? Are they productive or destructive? Healing or hurting? How healthy are your thoughts  when they go wondering?

There is nothing in this world that can trouble you as much as your own thoughts.

It's true...our thoughts have the power to either empower us or to destroy us. What we think impacts how we live our lives and how we interact with those around us. Our thoughts have power!

What are your thoughts like right now on your life and how you're living it? Are they positive or negative? Empowering or defeating? Healing or hurting? How are your thoughts impacting your life? Give this some thought okay and if you find that they're not doing you much good...please give thought to what you can do about that...because there are things you can do.

Our thoughts are ours and we have the responsibility and the ability to manage them and to change them. But if you can't recognize the truth of your thoughts and the impact they have...things won't change. Life comes with negatives and we can't change that...but we can change how we think about it.

The 3 R's to changing our thoughts

Recognize - recognize when your thoughts are negative. Once you can begin to recognize your thought patterns you can begin the steps to changing them.

Reject - reject the negative for what it is...negative...and make the conscious choice to focus your thoughts on something positive and helpful instead.

Replace - replace the negative track in your thoughts to something more productive to the life you want for you moving forward. 

The thoughts we carry with us as we go about our days can either empower us on or drag us down...the choice is ours. But what if your thoughts are hurting you and making life harder and no matter what you do things still don't' change?...go talk to you doctor okay? When our thoughts impact our lives beyond our control we may need help to gain the control back. There is nothing wrong with reaching out for the help you need okay? So please...ask for it if you need. Love yourself enough.


Here's a challenge I'd like you to give thought to and try....
For every negative thought you hold and think about yourself...remind yourself of 5 positive things you like and love about yourself. Remind yourself of all that you are and you are more than you think!
