What's the conversation like in your head right now? Could it use a little tweaking?

It is true though...the words we use...the thoughts we keep...it impacts how we live our lives.

Do your thoughts hold you back? Do you feel loved, supported, encouraged and comforted after a talk with yourself?

What's the conversation like in your head right now? We've all heard some hurtful things in our lives but you know what?  the things we say to ourselves shouldn't hurt us.

How to Read Medicine Labels

3/28/2016

How often do you buy over-the-counter (OTC) medications? How often have you actually read the little piece of paper that comes with it? Do you know what that little piece of paper is? If you don't read the paper...do you read the information that comes on the packaging? Personal questions I know but please do keep them in mind.

The choice to choose between medications is a personal one...but please do read the information that comes with your medications (even the OTC kind)...it could potentially save your life. There are some OTC medications that cannot be taken if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, some heart conditions and other health concerns...without reading the information included...would you know which one is safe for you?

OTC medications have a real place in our lives. They can treat fevers, colds, yeast infections, minor aches and pains and even some other things too...BUT...sometimes they are misused. The information that comes with OTC medications is as important as the information you get along with your prescriptions. This information includes uses, warnings, interactions, ingredients and more...and it's important to know.

Today I'd like to share some information about how to read medicine labels. This information is shared for your personal use and entertainment only and is not meant to take the place of professional support from your pharmacist or doctor. If you have any questions about what you read here please speak to your pharmacist, doctor and/or treatment team.

For this installment, I have chosen Methylnaltrexone Subcutaneous
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Relistor

Uses: This medication is used to treat constipation caused by narcotic (opiate-type) medication. It blocks the effect of narcotics on the gut without blocking the effect on pain. It belongs to a class of medications called narcotic antagonists.

Despite how open, peaceful, and loving you attempt to be, people can only meet you as deeply as they've met themselves. This is the heart of clarity.

Who can you turn to?

Living life means we will need help. We're human. Everyone needs help...once in awhile.

Who can you turn to when you need help?

Sometimes we think...we have no one.
Sometimes we think...we're a bother.
Sometimes we think...and we over think.

Learning who you can turn to and who you can't...can be a painful lesson at times though. We trust those that maybe we shouldn't. We share things that are later used against us. We ask for help only to be told we're attention seeking. But even through the painful lessons of life...we need help.

Who can you turn to when you need help?

Friends, family, doctor, crisis support, faith/religious affiliations, support groups and more...there is help to be had...but...the biggest support you will ever find is in yourself. The words you use when talking to you...the thoughts you keep...the things you do for you to help you through...YOU are your biggest and most reliable support in life.

Did you forget that?

Today we believe God wants you to know that you can't rid the world of sorrow, but you can choose to live in joy.

Sorrow is with us not because we are bad at stopping it, but simply because it's part of being human. What matters is not whether good or bad things happen - both will, but your relationship to them. Just think back over the last 24 hours, - what had you taken hard that you could have taken lightly?

Moments of challenge are the greatest blessings in your life....

Moments of challenge are the greatest blessings in your life; they are your chance for rapid expanding and deepening of your understanding. Whatever makes you uncomfortable is your biggest opportunity for growth. The greater the discomfort, the greater the potential for learning. The more something upsets you, the more it is meant for you. When it no longer upsets you, it is no longer needed because the lesson is complete. When turmoil and upset transcend to clarity and resolve, your suffering and the suffering of others take on purpose beyond what seems like senseless pain. Every tragedy has a lesson equal in significance to its heartbreak. How you channel your justifiable upset — positively or negatively — determines the degree to which you waste your life force or mount your verve into worthy endeavor. And then there is useless common drama, stubbornness, and ignorance. Most of the petty upset we experience is unnecessary reactivity that can and should be tamed. Petty upset is a sign of a crude and unrefined personality, intellect, and spirituality. Petty upset is a sloppy waste of emotional energy; it is toxic and is often an inner-obstacle to seeing reality clearly. Most inner-obstacles are not overcome because they are seen as natural, ordinary and justifiable. You have to understand your inner-obstacles for the inhibiting barriers they truly are in order to move beyond them. The time to evolve and question your emotions is when you are feeling challenged. You cannot practice being open in a moment of no challenge. Don't be afraid of changing your mind.

The attitude with which we greet the day says a great deal about what the day will be like. When we start the day with a spirit of joy, openness, peace and love, we put the universe on alert...we want more of the same.
