ha! yep! it's Monday after all
Nosy questions I know...but...how many medications are you taking? Have you ever forgotten to take them? Have you taken them in the morning and then by the afternoon you're not so sure anymore? Have you ever taken the wrong medication at the wrong time?
Keeping our medications straight all the time is not always so easy...especially when you're taking more than one, and on the days when caught in the brain fog...it can be hard to remember your own name let alone medications...it's true! But even with it being true...there is a level of danger when it happens. Our meds work best when there is a continuous amount in our system and forgetting a medication for even a few hours...can impact us negatively. Has this ever happened to you? How do you remind yourself about your medications? I have very strong opinions when it comes to medications but I do believe it's a personal choice. With that being said...I am also trying to encourage you to be wise and safe with your medication choices. Be informed...be educated...ask your questions. It's your right to choose...choose wisely for you okay? Today I'd like to share some information to help you keep your medications straight. This is shared for your personal entertainment only and is in no way meant to take the place of the conversation with your pharmacist or doctor. If you have any questions about what you read here...talk to your doctor. Before we get to the medication I need to remind you...

Days where your brain feels scattered and your soul tired? Have you ever looked to the skies and wondered why? Why you? Why now? just why? I have and I've done it this week. And the "when will it end" question has come up too. When these moments in your life come...what do you do? Do you comfort yourself or do you beat yourself up with your thoughts and words? Do you support yourself or do nothing? What do you do? These moments in life...although not comfortable...are totally normal. It's the thing called life and it's ours to live to the best of our abilities...soothing, supporting and comforting ourselves. If you're having a moment like this now...give thought to what you need...to what will soothe you...to what will support you...and to what will comfort you. There is peace to be had when we become our own supporter...our own friend. Yes there will be days when you look to the skies and your brain feels scattered and your soul is tired. It's on these days that you need you the most...be there for you okay? Take good care of you and always be gentle. thank you Butterflies and Pebbles and S.C. Lourie for the comforting words...check them out on Facebook Yesterday the Facebook page hit the 7000 friends milestone. Yeah I'm smiling silly. When I give thought to the growth the page has seen over the last year, I am totally amazed. Doing the Fb page and this website has been a big part to my healing and I can only hope that by sharing it here...I can help others too. Thank you for being a part of my journey and allowing me to be a part of yours. Onward we go together. Take good care of you okay? Today we believe God wants you to know that change is the very nature of life... welcome it. No glass ever became sand again; no bread ever became wheat; no ripened fruit ever became a flower. Welcome change, and choose what kind of glass you create, what kind of bread you bake, what kind of fruit you harvest. Picture taken at the Pinery by Emily I said I needed a ME Day when in fact I took two of them and I even debated about doing anything today. I do feel better for having taken the days I needed and I'm still doing what I can to help myself heal, to soothe my aches...I'm trying to take care of me.
Our healing won't happen in a day...or even a week...it's a process that we have to go through. We can't change it and we can't rush it...all we can do is what we need to help us heal. We need to take the time... no matter how long it takes. We need to talk to ourselves with care and with patience...without beating ourselves up for needing more time. There is no book in life that says healing will take a certain amount of time...it will take however long it takes and we just have to accept that. If we do what we need...we can help ourselves through the pain. Give some thought to your pain...what helps you to cope? what soothes your pain? what helps you to smile and live your life for you in-spite of your pain? what can you do to help you heal? take good care of you and thank you for your patience as I continue to heal Tammy Have you ever experienced periods or bouts of depression? Have you ever been diagnosed with depression? If you are living with this too or have at least experienced it...do you know the signs of a relapse?
Even with treatment - periodic or continuous - a relapse in depression is still possible. Depression does tend to be episodic with bouts lasting anywhere from days to weeks to months, before any improvement in symptoms is felt...and sometimes...a relapse happens and the depression starts again. Have you ever noticed this in your life? I have...and I have noticed too that the episodes can come without warning and just slap me upside the head...or at least that's what it feels like. There are choices and treatments too to help us when we are experiencing depression. Some people are able to stop taking medication once the life situation has resolved and some are taking medications long-term...there is also benefit in talk therapy...have you checked that out yet? If you have ever experienced a relapse with depression...it does not mean you're weak, it does not mean treatment failed, and it does not mean there is something wrong with you...we all struggle sometimes and need a little help sometimes too...let's face it...life can be hard. If you're experiencing depression... don't beat yourself up for it...ask for the help you need and that is available. Today I would like to share 11 warning signs of a depression relapse. This information is shared for your personal entertainment and is in no way meant to take the place of direct medical care from a qualified professional. If you notice things about yourself and your life in this entry...please talk to your doctor. If you have any questions about what you read here...yep...go talk to your doctor. We can't change this until we start taking an active role in the treatment, and discussions for depression. take good care of you please |
