Well the Facebook page has reached the 1500 friend milestone and I promised a friend that once the page got there I would share a picture of myself. I haven't done it yet as I'm shy and also once my picture was published...I couldn't hide behind the screen anymore.

I've received many questions asking me if I'm real...computer generated...and even if I'm female or male. I hope this answers your questions about who is on the other side of the screen. It's me....Tammy.

I am living independently owned and operated and I'm a Mom to one amazing young woman Emily. I'm the only one here doing this website and the Facebook page too. I don't have an editor fixing my mistakes (obviously as there are lots of them here)...and I don't have someone finding things for me to write about. This is me and these are my thoughts.

I started this website because when I was hurting...I had no where to go...didn't know what to do...and I fell hard and I almost lost my life. It took me many years to pick my butt up and to face my life accepting me for all that I am and all that I am not...and yes...some days I still struggle too.

Warning:  this contains emotional language and humour please read with consideration and caution.

Hello, my name is Tammy and I live with chronic pain. In 2003 I experienced a work-place injury. I thought my injury was simple enough that I would be returning to work in no time. I attended various therapy programs including chiropractic, physiotherapy, as well as a work hardening program in the attempt to be able to return to work and keep my job. I experienced another injury in 2005 while on an accommodation return to work program.

While trying to recover from my injuries, as well as during my accommodation, and after my dismissal, my doctor tried many different medications along with additional therapies to help me. I attended a hydrotherapy program, acupuncture and another round of physiotherapy. I have endured many tests, some of which were incredibly painful. I would often hope that the next “new” treatment or test would finally be the key. The key to unlocking and understanding the pain in my body and mind. It was an endless search for something I would never find.
