There is almost no such thing as ready. There is only now. And you may as well do it now. Generally speaking, now is as good a time as any.

I'd like to open the blog for ideas...

  • What do you enjoy doing during your "Me" days?
  • How do you start your day?
  • When you feel your pain begin to over-take your abilities how do you handle that?
  • When your pain has you under your rock what do you do?
  • What works best for you to help you manage your pain levels?
  • What are you curious about trying to lessen the pain you feel?

Please give the above questions some consideration. If you don't mind too, please leave your suggestions and ideas for others...you may share something that could be just what someone needs to hear.

Today we believe God wants you to know that daily reflection is important.

Start your day in quiet contemplation. If you start to feel anxious, frustrated, angry or drained; go back to that place in your mind and refocus. Do this as often as you need to and see how your life changes for the better.

Intro to my Thought Therapy 101

Our pain is not only physical but emotional too. Feelings like anger, bitterness and sometimes hatred for what we've lost or what we have gone through in our lives, can be like a prison if we hold on to them. Holding on to those feelings allows the pain to control our lives and prevents us from living to our fullest abilities. Let go of the negativity that controls your world and step out of your prison. YOUR LIFE AWAITS YOU! Let go of the anger...let go of the negativity and take care of your emotions.

From me to you....

I'll be honest, there will be mistakes in my grammar and my words may not always flow smoothly, but what you read here are my words. I do not have an editor nor anyone in the background finding things for me to post or writing entries for me. This is me and this is my life and I am sharing it with you.

I almost didn't make it. I had one night when things came crashing down and I was sitting with a bunch of pill bottles in front of me deciding on what order to take them in to end my life. I was mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted. I didn't have the courage to end my life but I also didn't have the courage to live it either. Things had to change and it had to start with me first.

It has taken me a long time to be able to say that this is my life and that I'm happy with it. Bringing this site to you has helped me too. I've learned something new in developing this website, creating and publishing entries. It's been a learning curve that's for sure and it's something I have come to enjoy doing very much. Guess this old dog can learn some new tricks.

Thank you for being a part of my journey and taking the time out of your day to come to the page. Your support has been a source of encouragement for me and I thank you for that!

I wish you only the best in your life and for your health...take good care of you

It's Impossible?

6/28/2014

This morning while on-line and checking in with a few pages that I visit, I noticed a comment about how living with pain and doing chores around the house or having a "life" was impossible. Do you agree with this? I for one don't. I did at one point I will be honest with you, but now? No...the word impossible is not part of my vocabulary when talking with myself.

Sure, doing chores when you're hurting hurts, it does...let's be honest. Having to stand at the sink when your body is aching and wash the dishes, carrying laundry up the stairs when your're having a hard enough time carrying yourself up the stairs. I get it. Chores can hurt. But...let me ask you this...

  • Is there a way you can modify that chore to make it easier for yourself?
  • Is there a time of day when your pain is "less" and you're able to do "more"?
  • Are there people in your life you can call upon to help you?
  • Does that particular chore have to be done at that given moment? Can it wait till you're feeling more able?
  • Can someone else do it for you if it is beyond your abilities?

Change the words you use to describe things too! when you're always telling yourself "it's impossible" it will always stay IMPOSSIBLE!! There are ways you can still do the things you need to do. You may need to take a different approach to how you tackle your chores, you may even need to take more breaks in between than you did in the past and you may need some new cleaning tools to help take the stress off...modify...adapt...but don't give up.

It's only impossible when we tell ourselves it is...live in your abilities and challenge your limitations...and most importantly...in the grand scheme of life...does it really matter if the chores go unattended for a day or two? will your world come to a crashing end if your best friends come over and the house is a little messy? will they like you any less? no! they won't...they won't care one bit.

Relax, it's the weekend and take some time for you and unwind and enjoy it! take good care eh?

The FALSE you feeds on the unhealthy things you bring into your life. You must disavow all thoughts that rouse your insecurities and weaken your spirit. Dismiss the opinions of those who seek to becloud your strength, for the TRUE you is peaceful and powerful.
