There have been some comments left on the Facebook page from friends living with migraines...so I thought I'd go see if I could find some home remedies that may help when the medications don't.

The Facebook page hit another milestone...18,000 Friends. Thank you for sharing this journey with me! Living life with chronic pain has taught me a lot...and I know I wouldn't have learned it without my pain and the things I went through because of it. It became the end of one life...and the beginning of another...a new journey of sorts. Self-love and understanding, acceptance and compassion too, hope, strength, courage, endurance, tenacity, and even more...can be found in our pain. I hope that by sharing this site with you and the Fb page too...you are beginning to see that you are so much more than your pain/illness...that you're not alone, that there is help, hope, and a life to be lived and loved...even when it's a hurting life. Take good care of you and I hope your weekend treats you gentle and you do too. Tammy You need to be the hero in your own life. No one can fix you but yourself and the sooner you can step up to that, the better things will get. ~~Kate Spencer~~ Picture taken by a friend on her holidays...Thank you Pam! There is no such thing as a simple act of compassion or an inconsequential act of service. Everything we do for another person has infinite consequences. Every action give rise to a ripple effect, just as a pebble that is tossed into a pond sends out wave after wave, widening and covering more and more space. Everything we do and say matters. Period. This is why Buddhists and Hindus, indeed all the great spiritual traditions, teach the importance of mindfulness in speech and attention to behavior, because of the limitless, unforeseen effects of our every action and word. Even our thoughts have a force and power about which we have to careful. ~~Caroline Myss~~ this is a picture I took when I ran away to the park...I had a buddy for the day If you feel overwhelmed just try to relax and look for one positive thought. Every good thing begins with one positive thought. You don't need to change everything in your life instantly. All you need is one positive thought. You can hold-on to that thought, and it will remind you that there is hope. One simple, positive thought is enough to make it all worth it. All your troubles, struggles, pains, and suffering is worth one good thing. Those good things come to us just when we need them the most, like an angel throwing us a life-preserver before we go under the waters of despair. One positive thought can save your life or the life of another. One positive thought is the miracle for which you have been waiting. One positive thought will shift the entire world under your feet. One positive thought is something you can accomplish. One positive thought is the victory you need today!
~~Bryant McGill~~ Are you feeling overwhelmed? How are your thoughts? Are they healthy or hurting? Could one positive thought change your day? The lines, "You don't need to change everything in your life instantly. All you need is one positive thought. You can hold-on to that thought, and it will remind you that there is hope." are my favourite. One positive thought can be the turn around. If you're feeling overwhelmed what will you do for you? What thoughts are you holding onto that are preventing you from moving forward? How can you change that? Start small...just one thought each day...tell yourself the things you NEED to hear...and really listen to yourself. YOU can do this for you...will you try? take good care of you and your thoughts too please |
