How do you talk?

Now I know I am not the only one who talks to themselves, and I'm thinking that I'm probably not the only one who even answers themselves back too. Today I'd like to ask you to give thought to how you talk. How you talk to yourself, how you talk to others, what do you talk about, and also what words you use when you're talking.

Let's talk about talk shall we?

When talking about your pain..how do you talk? What words do you use to describe your pain and how you're living with it? Give it some thought...if someone were to ask you how you are managing with your pain, how would you respond? What words would you use? Are they positive or negative?

Sometimes when people are swamped in the negative of their pain, all they can see around them and within their lives is the negative. Have you noticed this about yourself during conversations with friends or family? It's easy to go down the negative road with our words isn't it? But we also have a choice...make an effort the next time someone asks how you're doing to mention something positive instead of negative. When you focus on the positives the negatives have less power...change your words...change your life.
How do you talk to yourself when no one else is around and can hear you? Even when talking to ourselves, our words carry power. We can either empower ourselves with our words or we can tear ourselves down. How do you talk to you? When you've made a mistake do you berate yourself? What words do you use to encourage yourself through your fears or your pain? Your words have power! Use them to empower yourself instead of tearing yourself down...change your words...change your life.

Do you believe you're capable? strong enough? good enough? Do you agree that the words you use to describe you and your life can impact how you feel about your life? When you're talking negatively, have you noticed your pain feels "more"? It works the opposite too! When you think, act, live and talk in the positive...guess what...you begin to feel more positive too!

The choice is yours really...will you change your words and change your life? You CAN! take the steps for you ok?

take good care of you and always be gentle
