Your feelings and emotions are real. If they weren't you wouldn't feel them. So don't ignore them. You're feeling them for a reason. The challenge is to understand why you are feeling them and gaining control over them. It is easy to get lost in our emotions. Acknowledge them. Take your time stroking each one as you feel it if you need to. But limit the time you spend with the negative ones. Even if you have to set a timer or a clock, don't allow yourself to get lost in the negative. Allow yourself to have the good cry you need when you need it. But again, don't get lost in it. Acknowledging our feelings allows us the time to explore them. Get to know yours.
