Before we get to the medication I need to remind you...
For this installment, I have chosen Warfarin COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Coumadin GENERIC NAME(S): WARFARIN SODIUM Uses This medication is used to treat blood clots (such as in deep vein thrombosis-DVT or pulmonary embolus-PE) and/or to prevent new clots from forming in your body. Preventing harmful blood clots helps to reduce the risk of a stroke or heart attack. Conditions that increase your risk of developing blood clots include a certain type of irregular heart rhythm (atrial fibrillation), heart valve replacement, recent heart attack, and certain surgeries (such as hip/knee replacement). Warfarin is commonly called a "blood thinner," but the more correct term is "anticoagulant." It helps to keep blood flowing smoothly in your body by decreasing the amount of certain substances (clotting proteins) in your blood. **Please read this information carefully** If you have any questions about what is provided here....talk with your doctor or pharmacist please. If you can't believe in miracles, then believe in yourself. When you want something bad enough, let that drive push you to make it happen. Sometimes you'll run into brick walls that are put there to test you. Find a way around them and stay focused on your dream. Where there's a will, there's a way. ~~Isabel Lopez~~ Picture taken by my daughter at the Pinery One day it just clicks... Has it clicked for you yet? I'll admit...it wasn't a click for me. It was like a slap upside my head and it was hard! But one day it does just click...and you know now. You know what's important to you, what you're willing to tolerate in your life and what you're not. You start to distance yourself from all the things that are unhealthy and even some of the people too. You learn to care less about what other people think and say...and you start listening to yourself more...to what you need and want in your life. You realize how far you've come and you've come a long way baby! The things you once thought you would never survive are long past now and you're still standing! stronger! surviving! one day at a time. And when you can smile at all of that? When you can truly be proud of who you are and the person you've fought hard to become...well that's the day it clicks...the day you realize... take good care of you eh? It's time...time to honour the men in our lives, our fathers, our brothers, our uncles, our cousins, and even our friends...to the men who impact our lives and teach our children...HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! may you have a day filled with love and laughter. May you know today and every day how much you are loved and needed. And to the single Moms who do double duty...thank you! YOU ROCK! I'm blessed and lucky to still have my Dad with me, and next month we celebrate his 70th birthday. My Dad is my hero, a man of men, he's been my sports coach, my driving instructor, my taxi driver, my counselor and confidant, my friend, and he the biggest, most influential person in my life. Thank you Dad for all you've done, and all you still do today. I hope I can be just half the person you are. Today, we believe God wants you to know that your home is sacred. Where you live makes a big difference. Every little thing in your home influences you through its colors, shapes, textures, smells. Take a look around your home, - what can you change to transform your home into a place of comfort. this picture is of my cat Chancey, and she is a part of what makes my home my comfort zone Have you ever turned the music on so you could turn the feelings off? What is your music of choice? Do you have different styles of music for the all the different kinds of moods and feelings you may have? How does your music make your body feel? Personal questions I know but please do give them some thought. Music...for many...is pure therapy. Music says the words we're unable to say or even the words we're needing to hear, it expresses our feelings in ways we can't and it even helps us to communicate at times too. Music is a bridge. I've had a lot on my mind lately and I've been turning to my music...it keeps my mind busy and at times my body moving. It's been a feel good thing for me. What makes you turn the music on? Do you dance around your home (even if awkwardly?) Do you air drum or even play the guitar? Do you have to apologize to your neighbours when you sing along? It's all good! Don't let any of that stop you from feeling the therapy of your music. Dance like no one can see you, dance like your body doesn't hurt, just dance! let the music move you. Music...it's pure therapy...so if you need to turn the feelings off for a bit...turn on your music! |
