How we talk to ourselves when we are experiencing our pain and/or emotions can either diminish us or it can empower and promote us. When you feel the negativity or you notice that you're talking about yourself in the negative, face yourself in the mirror and say your script. Repeat the script until you are able to maintain eye contact with yourself. When you see disbelief in your eyes, challenge it! Why do you not deserve to be considered and spoken to positively...even by your own words? Break the negative self talk with what you know to be the true positives of who you are. Live in those positives instead of your negatives. Own all that you are...even the good stuff too!
Today's challenge is to write a positive personal script that you can say to yourself when you're feeling down, or when you need a little encouragement to get you through your day. Carry it with you in your wallet or purse or maybe even tape it to the bathroom mirror....but keep it handy for when you need a little reminder that you are beautiful...yes a man can be beautiful too!

Today's boot camp challenge is to get physical with your life. Did you break out of the fitness protection program yet? How did things go? Did you exercise?
The challenge is not to get on the newest fitness DVD but to move more than you did the day before....to challenge your limitations...so....have you? If you need some ideas visit the second challenge again or get active doing something that makes you feel good. Get out and explore your neighborhood, sit on a park bench and people watch, or even put on some music and just let it move you. Whatever you choose to do...even if today is a day to go slow...live in your abilities...not your limitations...and get active with your life. Today's challenge is to go one whole day without thinking or saying something negative...about yourself, your pain or your life. Not one word...I dare ya.
Today's LCP Boot Camp Challenge has two parts to complete...
The first part of the challenge is to give thought to and list 5 things that you are thankful for in your life. If it includes a person, give them a call and let them know. You might just make someone's day by letting them know how important they are to you. The second part of the challenge is to give thought to and list 5 things that make you happy in life and to do one thing on your list today. Life moves fast and we often don't take the time to appreciate all that we have and all that we still can do in our lives. When living with pain it's important to purposely seek out the the moments in our lives that allow us to live beyond the pain. Live in what makes you happy and feel good about being you. Today's LCP Boot Camp Challenge has two parts to complete...
The first part of the challenge is to list five methods you are currently using to treat your pain...please include medicinal and non medicinal treatment methods. example
Today's LCP Boot Camp challenge is to exercise....break out of the fitness protection program and lets get moving. You know your physical limitations better than anyone so please do something that is within your abilities but will also challenge your limitations too. We will never learn our true capabilities unless we push our limitations.
Here a few examples....select one for your exercise today...or something else of your choice.
It's the first day of a new month and I'd like to try something a little different on the website and I'm hoping you will join me for LCP Boot Camp.
Over the next 30 days I will be posting a daily challenge for you to complete during your day. Now don't worry I won't be asking you to go flipping any tires or run marathons and there certainly won't be any burpies! Whew! Though you may still feel like you've been put through the wringer when you're done. (I hope not though) The challenges will not be time consuming, relatively easy to complete and you can incorporate it into your daily routine as you make the time...but you need to make the time! Now I do realize we are each living with our own physical abilities and limitations, however, my hope is to challenge your thoughts, your abilities and to encourage you to make the changes in your life that you want for you moving forward. Please keep in mind....the challenges will cost nothing but your time and your effort. The benefits however, are rich and you reap the rewards of your efforts. Pain may have changed you but you can take back the control. Little steps lead to big changes and I hope you will take the step for you. So...Are you on board? Are you ready to start? Good!
