**Mild Language Warning**

Can you remember who you were, before chronic illness changed your life?

SERIOUSLY?!?! are you flecking kidding me? What an insensitive question! Of course I can remember! Some days it's hard as hell not to think of anything else. I'm reminded constantly I'm different now and my life and body will never be the same again. Do I remember? Damn right I do! Do I wish I could forget? Yeah some days I do.

Has someone ever asked you that question? I've been asked and it hurt! It hurt a lot! I've heard many other insensitive and hurtful comments over the years and it leaves me thinking that some people are just a special kind of stupid.

So...as a Diabetic who is controlled by exercise and diet...I've been told to increase my veggie intake and carrots came highly recommended.

Do you eat carrots? I don't personally like them but I don't like the idea of taking insulin injections either.

And it would seem that carrots aren't just good for people like me being Diabetic...but carrots also help to relieve constipation and improves skin health while promoting good vision. 

HUH! I guess carrots aren't just for                                                                                                                            rabbits after all ;)

Hello and Happy Friday to you! We made it! Do the Happy Dance :)

How are you doing? How was your week? What coping skills did you use this week to help you manage your pain? 

When I saw this one this morning I had to use it. It's Friday and I feel like dancing. My body is laughing a bit at me but I can't help it...and I'll tell you why...I'm going to Toronto this weekend to see family I haven't seen in a year and I'm excited to be going.

What are you doing this weekend? It's a long weekend too! Got any plans? If you do...what can you do to help yourself prepare before you go? What can you bring with you while you're out and about? Hmm...give it some thought okay? 

When living a pained and hurting life, I do believe we can learn to manage our pain so we can be as active as we're able and I think too that we can learn to soothe ourselves when we've done too much. The world won't stop because we hurt and life does go on...with or without us...SO...what can you do to help you live your life to the best of your abilities? 

I hope you have a great weekend and I challenge you to do one thing each and every day that makes you feel good...something to make you smile...something that allows you to heal. Do it for you!

NAH! it's twisted AND it's strategically bent...

I'm multi-talented  :)

WOW! when I first read this and even now today it has a power that hits me every time.

I'm the girl sitting in the dark corners where nobody goes and my tear drops have fallen off my nose. Their tracks are made from years upon years of letting them in and my eyes a story do tell. 

And the scars? yeah they're there too...a roadmap to hidden places no one has been. And I fight like hell not to let them win...while each day they remind me of where I've been.

But some days I still can't help but let them in and when I do...they win...and I'm left feeling the anger and the pain again. There is a roadmap to the places no one knows...and it's buried deep inside me where no one goes.

My smile is now painted and my eyes still weep. The master of disguise...that is me.

HA! yes it is. My brain has been in neutral for a little while now and the repair technician is on vacation at the beach. 

Lately I'm struggling to put sentences together and find even when I do...they most often come out mixed up and backwards and I'm having to rearrange them so they make sense.
