and there's no snooze button on a hungry cat
Now that I'm living a hurting life...there are days when I feel weak and there are days when I feel fatigued. I used to think they were the same thing...but they're not!
Have you ever felt weak or fatigued? Do you know why you feel that way? When you're feeling it...what do you do for you? How do you cope? Have you talked to your family/friends about how you're feeling? What about your doctor? Nosy and personal questions I know...but I hope you'll give it some thought. Living a hurting life will often leave us feeling worn out and lacking the energy for even some of the simplest of chores and it can also prevent us from being able to be with those we love the way we want to. Have you ever said "no" to your friends when they've invited you out because you don't have the energy? Do you ever have difficulty moving your body the way you want? Do you find your "tired" is always tired? Are you sleeping too much? too little? Is your sleep restful? Today I'd like to share some information about weakness and fatigue and how they are actually two very different things. This information is not shared to replace the conversation with your doctor...it's shared to encourage you to start one. take good care of you okay? Could you please?
Could you please hold me?....it's been a long time since I've felt safe in someone's arms. Could you please listen to me?....I need to feel heard. Could you please help me?...I'm struggling right now. When I don't like myself...could you please love me a little bit more? When you see me struggling...could you please understand I'm trying my hardest? Could you please? ~~Me~~ Growth is a very profound experience. It can be beautiful and ugly, empowering and confining, thought-provoking and mind-boggling, pleasant and unpleasant, all at the same time. ~~Iyanla Vanzant~~ Picture taken at a friends farm. WOW!! it's hard for me to believe that it's been three years since I started this website. What started as a middle of the night reaction to rejection, has grown into something I'm very proud of and I couldn't have done it without you! Thank you for all your support and for sharing your time with me. This site has played a big part in my healing and regaining my life again and although it's been a lot of work, I've enjoyed it more than I can ever say. One of the most healing things I've ever heard are two little words..."me too". To find others living a hurting life has helped me to feel a little less alone, to know that I'm not going crazy and that there are others like me out there. I hope that by sharing my own experiences through my pain, that you feel a little less alone too, and that you feel strong enough to take on your pain....even when you're scared. I hope by sharing this site with you, that you're beginning a different kind of journey with your illness/pain...one that finds you in control and not your pain. We may not be able to change the fact we hurt, but I do believe we can change how we care for ourselves when we're feeling it. I do believe we can change our thoughts on our hurting lives and even ourselves too. We can change! We can grow! We can take back the control! We can! Thank you for sharing in this journey with me! Please take good care of you HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY!! In an effort to find ways to help people learn about and even how to manage their pain, change their behaviours and just generally take control of their lives again...I'm always on the look out for things that might help, and I think this therapy is something to share with you.
When you give thought to your patterns of thought...would you say they're negative? Have you ever thought of suicide? Have you ever hurt yourself because you're feeling so overwhelmed by life and/or your pain? Do you ever struggle to cope with your emotions? Are your behaviours unhealthy for you and your life? Would you like something different in your life moving forward? If you said yes to any of the above questions, I hope you'll give this a read and then go talk to your doctor and/or treatment team and ask them about DBT. Might this help you? Are you willing to put the work into changing your life moving forward? Now please keep in mind that this entry is not meant to take the place of direct and qualified medial care. It is being shared for your entertainment and personal information only. If you have any questions about what you read here...please go talk to your doctor. Before we get to the medication I need to remind you...
For this installment, I have chosen Librium GENERIC NAME(S): CHLORDIAZEPOXIDE HCL Uses Chlordiazepoxide is used to treat anxiety and acute alcohol withdrawal. It is also used to relieve fear and anxiety before surgery. This medication belongs to a class of drugs called benzodiazepines which act on the brain and nerves (central nervous system) to produce a calming effect. It works by enhancing the effects of a certain natural chemical in the body (GABA). **Please read this information carefully** If you have any questions about what is provided here....talk with your doctor or pharmacist please. If you believe it will work out, you'll see opportunities. If you believe it won't, you will see obstacles. ~~Wayne Dyer~~ Picture taken in Port Stanley when I ran away last week Trying to explain what life is like for me now isn't always so easy...and then I saw this. I think it says it better than I ever could. There will be days and sometimes they'll last longer than I would like. I can be quiet and I can be distant, and then there are days when all I seem to do is cry. I can't explain it some days and other days I'm too embarrassed to try. Days when all I need is to be held and hugged and there are days when I need to be alone. Days when I'm a social butterfly and days when I want to stay home. There will be days. Please....just understand. meme found online - original source unknown |
