Sometimes people come into your life to show you what is right and what is wrong, to show you who you can be, to teach you to love yourself, to make you feel better for a little while, or to just be someone to walk with at night and spill your life to. Not everyone is going to stay forever, and we still have to keep going and thank them for what they've given us. ~~Emery Allen~~ Picture taken on the pond. My journey into darkness is where I found my light. My journey into darkness is where I gained my insight. Two very powerful sentences indeed! Do you think it's possible? Can you find the light in your darkness? Can you gain insight from the journey into your darkness? I do! Not only do I think it's possible...I did it. I have found my light and it was in my darkness...and I have gained insight from being there too. My darkness does not control me anymore and although it is still a part of me...my light is what I see. Now I'm not saying the darkness is gone...because it's not. It's still there and although I do still visit occasionally, we're not at war with each other anymore. I've come to respect the darkness and all the things it taught me. I have survived things I thought I wouldn't. I have grown in ways I never imagined. I have more compassion, more empathy, more understanding...and it's all come together to make me a better person. Out of my darkness I became stronger. I do believe that we can find our light when we journey into our darkness, and we can gain insight there too. When you give this some thought...will you find yours? Will you make something good from your pain? Will you share your light and insight? Don't fear your journey....learn who you truly are...and you are so much more than you think!
