When I first saw this I cheered...I thought YES! I am the one who chooses how I will survive what life brings and I don't need to apologize for how I choose to do so to anyone! But then I thought.... What if how I'm choosing to survive, is actually causing harm to myself? What if how I'm choosing to survive, is actually keeping me from moving on in my life? Are the choices I'm making to survive, the best choices I can make for myself? Are my choices healthy? I know it's the "what if" game again...and I know I've said it's a useless game...but play with me for a little bit...take a look at the questions again...only you know your answers. How are you choosing to survive? Is your choice a healthy choice or are you causing harm to yourself surviving the way you are? If you decide that how you are surviving is causing harm to yourself...can you change that? will you take the risks to do something different for you? If you're surviving by causing harm to yourself...do you owe you an apology? YES! you do! but know too that you are only human and now that you know...you can make the changes for you moving forward. How you choose to survive is your choice...no one can make it for you...but if your choices are hurting you...please think about them again. You don't have to hurt yourself further to survive your pain. Please? take good care of you Today I would like to continue working from the Helping take care of your cholesterol the good-start guidebook

The right kinds of fat Eat the right kind of fats and the right amount Eating a low fat, healthy diet can help lower blood cholesterol by about 5%. The type of fat you eat also affects your blood cholesterol. Just as there is good cholesterol and bad cholesterol, there are good fats and bad fats: "Good" Fats. Unsaturated fats help lower blood cholesterol. There are two kinds - monounsaturated and polyunsaturated. Unsaturated fats are found in: vegetable oils (e.g., canola, sunflower, peanut, soybean and olive oil); soft, non-hydrogenated margarine; nuts, seeds and peanut butter; avocados; olives; and fatty fish (e.g., char, herring, salmon, sardines, and trout) Love yourself and be proud of everything you do. Even mistakes mean your're trying. ~~Susan Gale~~ Picture by Wayne Q. Have you ever played the "what if" game? You know.."what if I do that and I hurt myself more?" ..."what if I fall?" ..."what if everyone laughs at me?"..."what if"..."what if"..."what if"..."WHAT IF"
Have you played this game with yourself? Have you invited others to play with you? Who won? You or your fear? Admit it now...you've played the "what if" game because you're scared. It's okay...I've played it too when my fear came knocking. It's a human thing....to step out of our comfy lives and do something different...to be scared and wonder "what if". |
