Day light savings time? Gain an extra hour of sleep?

Well...the clocks went back last night or this morning...which ever way you look at it....but the simple fact of the matter is not everyone gained an hour of sleep. I know I didn't. I woke up feeling proud of myself that I slept till 730 and then I saw the clock...and remembered.

Those of us living with pain find the time change difficult. Medications that are taken at specific times are now switched and an hour may not seem like much, but for those who use medications...an hour without can mean a whole lot of pain and discomfort. Is that true for you? How do you manage your medications when the time changes?

I find that no matter whether I'm gaining an hour or losing one...the clock changes impact me in a great way. Body rhythms are off and sleep schedules are too. For some...waking up in the dark and coming home when it's dark, is what starts their seasonal affective disorder (SAD) period. Is that true for you too? When the days are shorter...does it impact you? If so...what do you do for you?

There is more to time change than gaining or losing an hour, and it can take us a few days or even a week to adjust to it. If you find the time change hard for you...what can you do to make it easier? One word comes to mind for me and it's a nap.

take good care of you
