Fibromyalgia is a painful chronic illness that has no cure and is greatly misunderstood...though if you live with it...you understand all to well how this feels.
The tender points and the bruise like appearance is an accurate reflection of what fibro feels like to a body. It marks the sensitivity and the pain in a way that words cannot.
Fibro makes us sensitive to touch, to our clothing, temperatures and so many other things. Fibro is not only a physical illness but it also impacts our emotional and mental well-being.
Not all illnesses are visible but if fibro was...this is what it would look like. Now I can't speak for other illnesses that cause pain, but I can only imagine that you would say you feel something similar to this picture too.
Please...if someone you know is living with fibro, or any other "invisible" illness...imagine how this feels for them. How well do you think the day to day stuff you do so easily now...would be so easy to do...if you lived with this too?
Fibro...it may be an "invisible illness" but the effects are real.
