When I saw this I thought it apt for how I have felt at times.
To be in the world filled with people and you feel all alone...in your own bubble...separated from those around you.
Sometimes the bubble has been the barrier between me and a hurting world, keeping all the noise and static away, and at times...it's been how I've protected those around me from me.
Have you ever felt like you were in a bubble? What was going on your life that made this feeling possible for you and how did you handle it?
Sometimes I think the bubble can be a protective thing for us too at times. When the world around us is harsh, sometimes we need to protect ourselves from it. The bubble keeps us safe. It's where we go to hide, to lick our wounds, to cry...and it's also the place where we can gather our strength again.
Have you ever hidden away for a few days and just "felt" all that you're feeling? Did you hide in the bubble of your home, sheltered from the storms outside? Maybe the beach or a workshop? Is your bubble time spent in your garden? Our bubbles are wherever we feel comforted and secure...supported.
It can be a healing thing really when we're feeling overwhelmed by life...to hide in our bubble till it settles down and we feel strong enough to face things again...but one thing we need to be sure we don't do...is beat ourselves up when we're here. When life gets overwhelming it's only natural to need time away...to settle and soothe yourself and to gather your strength again...it's a healing thing to do.
If you're in your bubble now...how are you caring for yourself?...what needs do you have that require your attention?...how will you attend to you? Being in a bubble can be healing but we need to do the work while we're here. Avoiding things will only keep you in the bubble...and life happens outside of it.
take good care of you okay?
