Do you have plans this weekend? What will you do to put a smile on your face? What can you do to live in the moments that allow you to forget your pain, even if only for a little while?
Have you found those moments yet? That brief period of time when your mind is occupied on something and you can almost forget that you hurt...something that makes you feel so good, you can forget the pain?...have you found that for you yet? What is it? What allows you to live in the moment beyond your pain?
If you're saying there isn't anything that would allow you to do that, I disagree. Maybe you just haven't found it yet, or maybe you didn't realize what you had when you did, but it can be felt and it can be experienced. You just have find what works for you.
Here are a few of the things that work for me...
a walk in nature
spending time by the water
painting and art therapy
my music!
spending time with people who make me laugh
my hobbies...making mirrors and lamps
going for a walk in my neighbourhood with my music
spending time with my "special" friends
Whatever you do that allows you to live in the moment beyond your pain, do that more often! And keep finding things that will allow you to do this. Pain has less control when we seek these moments in our lives and when we truly live in them. It's a feel good thing our pain can't touch!
take good care of you and do something this weekend that makes you feel good about being you...even if it's something silly....DO IT! I dare ya :)
