The temperatures have dropped to a frigid level and it hurts to be outside. The sun is bright...shining and looks temptingly beautiful...but it's awfully deceiving. Layers are not enough to get through this weather change. They say spring comes March 20 and I'm wondering if anyone has told Mother Nature that yet... it's time for the snow to GO!
One of the worst things about dealing with -30 windchill days is being stuck indoors day after day after day. I call it "the shining" and it tests my ability to keep my sanity as I'm isolated even more than normal. It causes some bad days and I struggle to make it through them. I've been feeling overloaded and overwhelmed lately and I'm tired...so very tired.
If you said "yes" please be gentle with you. This is the time when we need to be so careful with what we say and what we do to and with ourselves. We need us to be gentle. It's easy to get caught up in this and we need to be careful not to. It's important that we take the time to soothe our pain...the emotional...the mental...and the physical too...we need to soothe ourselves without leaving scars behind.
Please...if your struggling lately too...find some time to take care of your needs...to soothe yourself...to care for you...heal. This is one step we MUST take for ourselves if we are ever going to survive this pained life with our sanity in tact. We must take care of ourselves.
I hope you take some time this weekend to do what makes you feel good...what makes you smile...to live beyond your pain even if for only a little while...do what makes you feel good about being you. Even if it's time spent curled up with a good book, watching a movie, a soak in tub, or getting lost in your music, hobbies, and such...do something that is just for you...something that makes you smile.
take good care of you okay
