How was your week? Did you find some time for you and your needs too? Do you feel like dancing or do you need a ME Day too?
One thing I've noticed about living with pain, is that my pain accumulates. What I do on Monday gets added to the activities of Tuesday...and both days (and pain too) get added to what I do on Wednesday...and then those three days get added to Thursday and then by Friday? I'm beat! Does your pain accumulate too? If so...what do you do for you when it does?
I take a ME Day! I love my ME Days. It's a day spent doing what I need for me...even if that means ignoring the housework and spending the time instead soothing my physical, mental and emotional needs...even if that means I stay in my jammies and/or comfy clothes all day...even if it means I'm curled up in my blanket couch surfing and TV watching...I do what I need for me...end of story. It's all about me on the ME Days.
It's a healing thing really...to focus on ourselves. Some may say it's lazy or selfish...but I'm here to argue that. It's NOT!! not at all. When we take the time for us...it truly is a healing thing...and it allows us to help others more too when we're rested. We need days that are spent doing what makes us feel good, what makes us smile, what makes us feel rested, comforted and relaxed...we need these days.
Have you taken a ME Day lately? If so...what do you for you? If you not...why? Your needs are important too and if you won't or don't look after them...who will? Give it some thought okay? what can you do and what will you do for you this weekend? If you can't take the whole day for you....take the time you can...the time you need for you...and help yourself through the day.
