Here are a few examples to get you started....
Sight...visit an art gallery, look at the "family album", walk in a garden noticing the different colours, go for a walk, sit outside on a patio and people watch, watch the sun rise/set, draw, paint your nails, get a haircut or shave
Sound...go see a live band, listen to your favourite music, call a loved one just to hear their voice, go outside, closing your eyes and just listen to the sounds of nature around you, visit a beach and listen as the waves crash the shore
Taste...buy yourself your favourite treat and slowly enjoy it, have your favourite meal, sample the flavours at your local ice cream or frozen yogurt shop, enjoy a refreshing drink
Smell...put on your favourite cologne or perfume, go to a bakery and notice the smells when you walk in, go for a walk by the water or in the woods, light a scented candle, go to your workshop and notice what it smells like when you walk in
Using our five senses is something we often take for granted. We're so used to the way things are that we fail to appreciate all the ways things can be and how we can be affected by them, even calmed and soothed. What is in your environment that you can use your five senses to soothe you?
Now you for this to work you have to really open yourself to all the things you never really noticed before....the things you took for granted...are you up for it?
