Which then guides us to generalize our fear of feeling more pain with almost any movement. So we stop moving. We become less active in our lives.
With less movement we become de-conditioned in our muscle strength and abilities. The less we move now, the less we move later. With less movement comes even more deterioration.
Not only do our physical abilities deteriorate, but so do our mental abilities. We become increasingly frustrated with our lack of abilities, and our negative experiences in life increase.
It's vicious circle, and one that can make you feel trapped in your own life. With knowledge, comes the ability to break the circle.
How you break the circle is up to you. Educating yourself on how your pain is affecting you and understanding how you can adopt strategies in your life to help you, will see the cycle of pain change in your life. Challenge your thoughts and beliefs about your pain too. Often when we change how we view or believe something to be true, it can open our eyes to new possibilities. Even life changing ones.
You can break the circle that pain has you in, but you also have to believe you're strong enough to face it, and that your life is worth facing your pain for. It's in you to believe....believe in you.
take good care of you
