Suffering is optional....

BOOM! How does this one hit ya?

Pain is inevitable. That part is true. Life is painfully beautiful.

Suffering? OPTIONAL? absolutely!

At some point in our lives we will feel pain. Whether it's emotional, mental, or physical...we will feel pain and we can't always avoid it.

But the suffering part? Yes...that is optional...we do have choices. Do you agree with this? What are your thoughts and why do you think this way?

There are things that have happened that you had no control over...you did nothing wrong...but still things happened didn't they? Or maybe you're suffering because you've made some mistakes and are feeling guilty. If that's the case, may I remind you of one thing? You're human, not perfect and it's okay to make mistakes.

It's inevitable...to have no control....and it's inevitable...that you will make mistakes sometimes.

But now the suffering? Yeah that part is optional. Even though things may have happened that you had no control over, you do have control over how those things affect you now. Even though you may have made mistakes, you do have control over whether you continue to beat yourself up for them, or if you forgive yourself, learn from them and move on with your life.

I'm not saying it's easy either okay? When feeling like you've been beaten hard, it can be difficult to see the good of who you are...but you must! Those things happened to you...but they aren't you! You are whoever and whatever you choose to become. If you choose to be a victim and suffer...you will be just that and you will be good at it too. But if you choose to survive and move forward...you will do just that...and that too you will become good at.

If you're beating yourself up for mistakes you've made in the past, can I ask one thing? Is all this beating up that you're doing to yourself changing what happened? Does the mistakes of your past mean that you can't change or learn from them and move forward in your life? Does making mistakes make you a bad person? NO! NO! and NO! what your mistakes make you is human. Don't beat yourself up for being something you can't change.

Pain is inevitable but suffering? yeah that is optional and you don't have to suffer anymore. Release the pain and please let yourself heal. Move on with your life with the lessons you've learned and live... breathe...laugh and enjoy being the beautiful you that you are. You don't have to hide and you don't have to suffer. Live in the moments that make you feel strong, powerful, loved and loving and silly...just to name a few.

These are choices that are well within our power to make for us...make it for you.

take good care eh?
