The more things change...the more they stay the same...

How long have you been focusing on all the ways your life changed because of your pain? Do you say to yourself "I wish I was the old me again" or what about "my life has changed so much now". Do you wish you could go back in time and change things?

Maybe you have said something different to yourself wishing, hoping and praying things were the same...that things hadn't changed....have you? be honest now okay? What do you say to yourself?

I think it's totally natural and human too to get lost some days in all the ways we "see" our lives to have changed for the worst. But it's important too that we also take the time to focus on all the ways we are still the same. You know it's true. Not everything about you changed. Yes...somethings did change...but... not everything did. In many ways...you are still the you you were before your pain.

It's okay to lose sight of all that you are...it can be easy to do when you're swimming in a pool of pain and negativity. But please...do remember too all the ways you are still YOU. The you you were before all this happened. Remember that person okay? Your pain is only one part of that person...everything else you were is still there. Maybe you lost sight of it...maybe you don't feel it right now...but it's there. It's there for you to find again and it's there for you to live again too. It's in you...you just need to find it and believe in it again.

Once you do though? You will see that everything you thought you were...you still are...beautiful... unique...strong....courageous...powerful...loved...needed...YOU. It's a beautiful thing you are. Don't lose sight of all that you are because of one part of you. It is only one part of you and you are so much more than your pain. Believe it! Live it! Be you and all that you are.

Yes you may have changed because of your pain...but please...focus on and appreciate all the ways you stayed the same.

Take good care of you eh?

I wish it was that way for me, I was in such a bad placeI didn't feel physically or mentality there was any emotions at all. I was so physically exhausted and fatigue I was miserable. Every one was not h happy about my attitude. Plus I was taking care of my 2 of grandchildren. An to top it all off full blown menopauseto the extreme. I have been were others have doe buy VA I was very fortunate that I had a second chance. I have. Been a lot better now and have good days and feeling like myself again.
I would like to know what can I do to make a difference
on these new laws. There going to cause a lot of people who suffer enough every day more unnecessary pain. This crack down is nothing more than politicians trying to look good. the numbers will drop at the expense of people who suffer from a long list of medical issues. People with chronic pain have many diagnosis of health issues. No other diseases are treated like chronic pain. They get all te help they need over and over again. We're held to these strick contracts. When our disease altrs the way we make decisions and our emotions. Last compliant most of the alternative methods for pai are not covered.
Thank you,
Sheila Thacker
