Living with chronic pain has taught me that feeling "tired' is not only a physical feeling but it can be an emotional and mental feeling too.
I've noticed moments in my own life when my feelings of being tired went beyond my need for sleep and it was a deep pervading feeling at times. It's this feeling I think that has many of us wondering "why bother" at times too....you're tired of always having to be "on"...on top of your pain, on top of your emotions....always "on".
Are you tired of always having to "manage" or "cope" with your pain? Tired of always feeling pain? Are you tired of missing out on the things you enjoy because of pain? Tired of being able to do something one day and not the next? Are you tired of having to "explain" how you can hurt when you look just fine? Tired of hearing there is nothing wrong with you? Are you tired of trying different pills and treatments looking for the "one"? Tired of never finding it? Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?
It's a normal part of life to feel "tired" at times...even in a pained life too...it's normal. Take the time to soothe and care for your needs. Replace what tires you with what energizes you. Spend more time with the people who inspire you instead of tiring you. Take a break if you need to and refocus your energies on your goals and try again. Practice relaxation techniques and mindful mediation too and calm your body, thoughts and mind.
Life with chronic pain can be "tiring" at times but there are things you can do to get you through these moments. And it may be the kind of tired that a sleep won't fix...but a sleep won't hurt either...so get some sleep...settle your mind...soothe yourself...and always try again! Your life may be tiring at times yes...but it's also the only one you're going to get. Do the best you can with what you have and as always...
take good care of you
