Two things I learned about reading food labels...

One thing I learned while reading the labels and value charts was that even if a food is high in fat or cholesterol...remember the serving size is only a suggestion...you can cut the serving size in half and that will lower the counts by half as well. You don't have to give up on the things you enjoy because their values are high...cut back on the serving size and still enjoy the foods you just can't live without...for me it's chocolate :) what is yours?

The other thing I learned while reading the labels was that if a packaged food does not come with a Nutritional Value Chart...it has no nutritional value. Have you ever seen these foods in the grocery store? Take a good look at the foods you buy next time and read their labels...if something you like doesn't come with a label it's probably the first thing you should eliminate from your diet.

Get smart about your food labels and mange your health...this is something that is fully in your control to change...the only question I have is will you make the healthy changes for you?

take good care and I hope you bring your reading glasses the next time you're going to the grocery store
